The Alberta Psychiatric Association 2016 Conference - Mental Health over the Life Span is taking place at the Rimrock Hotel in Banff from March 17 - 20, 2016. Registration is now open at https://securegs.com/apa/

The Conference Organizing Committee is now accepting abstract submissions for the 2016 conference. Deadline for abstract submissions is Friday, January 8th. Please send your submission (along with the disclosure statement) or any questions via email to conference@albertapsych.org and we will do our best to accommodate.

We, as the APA have added our support to this initiative. We urge all members and, indeed all mental health staff at clinics and hospitals, to wear purple on Friday 9th October, to draw attention to 10th October, which falls on a Saturday and thus won't be as well staffed.

Please support this worthwhile campaign to increase awareness to Mental Health issues.

The APA Conference Planning Committee has announced the conference theme for 2016: Mental Health Over the Life Span. This theme will open up a wide potential of topics, ranging from the evolution of psychiatry to child psychiatry to geriatric psychiatry. If there is a specific topic or speaker you would like to see, please notify the APA office.
