Brendan Leier, PhD earned his doctorate from the Department of Philosophy, University of Alberta, in 2002. Brendan is Adjunct Professor with the John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre. His current research includes pediatric best interest, moral distress, end-of-life decision-making, transplant ethics, compassion in healthcare, risk and decision-making, and the phenomenology of psychedelic experience. Brendan is a member of the clinical advisory board of Heroic Hearts Canada Project and an ethics advisor to the Psychedelic Association of Canada.
