Dr. Eric Chan, BSc (Hons), MD
Dr. Eric Chan is a master's student and fourth year resident in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Alberta. He completed an honors degree in biochemistry at the University of Saskatchewan and completed his medical training at the University of Alberta in 2015. Under the supervision of Dr. Katherine Aitchison at the University of Alberta, Dr. Chan has been studying the assessment of suicide using clinical rating scales and the validation of a new tool, the Suicide Ideation and Behavior Assessment Tool (SIBAT) . In addition, Dr. Chan has also been studying the use of mobile application-based rating scales through his work in Dr. Aitchison's lab.
