Dr. Stephan Heres, MD

Assistant Professor Dr. Stephan Heres is a member of the medical faculty at the Technische Universitaet Muenchen, Germany and acts as a senior lecturer of this university as well as the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Muenchen, Germany.

He is Chairman of a psychiatric hospital in the center of Munich with 150 beds, 3 day-care clinics and an outpatient department.

Stephan Heres has his research focus in psychopharmacology, especially in the long-acting formulations of antipsychotics as well as clinical trial design, shared-decision making and meta-analyses in the field of schizophrenia. Over the last 19 years he has participated in, conducted and designed more than 65 clinical trials. He has developed and chaired the specialized outpatient department for long-acting injection treatment (“OASIS project”) at the Technische Universitaet Muenchen for more than 10 years.
