Dr. Ron Lim BSc MD, CCFP, DFASAM, CSAM (Certificant), ABAM (Diplomate), ISAM (Certification)
Dr. Lim completed his medical school at the University of British Columbia. He did a rotating Internship at the Royal Alex Hospital in Edmonton and completed 2 years of Internal Medicine training at the University of Calgary (U of C).
Dr. Lim is currently an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Family Medicine at the Cumming School of Medicine, U of C. He is also the Region IX Director for ASAM until 2017, the past President Section of Addiction Medicine for the Alberta Medical Association and the Director of the R3 Enhanced Skills Addiction Medicine Program for the Department of Family Medicine at the U of C.
Dr. Lim is a peer reviewer for the Canadian Journal of Addiction and Journal of Addiction Medicine. He is also a Prairie Node Regional Principal Investigator for the Canadian Research Initiative in Substance Misuse's OPTIMA trial comparing methadone and buprenorphine/naloxone in patients with prescription opioid dependence.
