Abstract
The diagnosis of bipolar depression at the opposite ends of the age spectrum presents unique challenges.
Symptomatic presentations can be different than in young or middle-aged adults and treatment recommendations require consideration of impact on metabolic and neurocognitive dimensions.
This presentation will focus on these unique challenges diagnostically, and review the evidence-base regarding treatment options and their pro’s and con’s.
