Abstract

Dr. Hinshaw will share reflections on her time as a public figure during the COVID-19 pandemic with a focus on how we are shaped by the stories we tell ourselves, and our response to the stories that others tell about us.

Learning Objectives

1. Use the hero-victim-villain framework to reflect on polarized discourse;

2. Identify tools to facilitate productive dialogue on contentious issues; and

3. Understand public health implications of social polarization.
