Dr. Jennifer Swainson, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Jennifer Swainson is a Clinical professor in the Dept of Psychiatry at the University of Alberta and a psychiatrist at the Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton, AB. She has expertise in complex and difficult to treat mood disorders and their multiple common comorbidities. In particular, she has an interest in relationships between mood and metabolic disease and is she is certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She has expertise in the use of ketamine for depression. Other interests include sleep and insomnia, women's mental health, trauma, and psychedelics.
