Louise Rellis is the Founder and Executive Director of Anam Rural Youth Association, a mobile, trauma- integrated mental health support service operating across more than 40 rural communities in Central Alberta. Anam engages marginalized and at-risk youth and young adults through one-on-one, community- based outreach, providing trauma-integrated, non-clinical support to individuals who have not found success in traditional mental health settings.
Louise also serves as the founder and principal consultant of Mt. Leinster Consulting, where she delivers trauma-integrated consulting, Applied Metapsychology services, and workshops to organizations, workplaces, and communities. Her practice emphasizes relational safety, nervous system regulation, and the removal of barriers to care through trauma-informed, person-centered approaches.
Her work integrates principles of Applied Metapsychology, Polyvagal Theory, and Community Traumatology to address the intersection of trauma, regulation, and access within underserved populations. With extensive experience in rural and youth mental health, Louise is deeply committed to advancing equity in mental health service delivery and to developing alternative models of care that bridge the gap between community-based supports and the formal psychiatric system.
