Abhinav Pillai is a second-year medical student at the University of Calgary. He is passionate about the intersection of artificial intelligence and medicine, and has conducted research on the use of multi-modal large language models (LLMs) in clinical and post-clinical tasks. Specifically, he has explored the use of LLMs in clinical practice and adding explainability to the answers produced by these models. He is interested in using AI to increase the quality and access to healthcare in Canada.
Abhinav’s current work also focuses on assessing integration of AI-enabled solutions into primary care environments. He has analyzed product-market fit, clinical validity, and potential public health impacts of emerging technologies.
