Dr. Bohan Yang

Dr. Bohan Yang is a current 4th year Psychiatry resident at the University of Alberta. He is originally from Vancouver, BC, where he completed his undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Medicine at UBC prior to relocating to Edmonton, AB. He is a co-author of “The Gut-Brain Axis and the Microbiome in Anxiety Disorders, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder” and is working closely with Dr. Glen Baker and Dr. Serdar Dursun on “Neuroinflammation in OCD.” As one might surmise, he has an interest in the exciting field of neuroinflammation and autoimmune psychiatry, but he also enjoys learning about technology in medicine and how that can be applied to improve mental health care and address problems facing our healthcare system.

Outside of his work, he finds it hard to stay indoors. He enjoys hiking, skiing, eating out, and can be a little too competitive when it comes to tennis. Occasionally he finds himself staring off into space so please don’t be alarmed if that happens.
