Dr. Lawrence Martin, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Martin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University. He has held a variety of clinical administrative roles including Assistant Chief of Psychiatry at St. Joseph’s Healthcare and more than 10 years as Head of Service for the Regional Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program at St. Joseph's Healthcare.

Dr. Martin completed two terms as Director of Psychiatry Resident Training, a term as Vice-Chair (Education) in the Department and continues to teach medical students and residents.

Dr. Martin has for more than 20 years maintained a busy clinical practice and continues to learn from greatest teachers – his patients. He is a firm believer in evidence-based medicine and sometimes even practises it.
