Abstract

Mindfulness-integrated Cognitive Behavior Therapy (MiCBT) emerges as a promising approach in tackling burnout within the healthcare sphere. Burnout, prevalent in healthcare settings due to high stress and demanding work environments, adversely affects both individual well-being and patient care quality. MiCBT, an integrative therapeutic framework combining mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques, presents a tailored solution to burnout. By cultivating mindfulness skills, MiCBT equips healthcare providers with tools to manage stressors effectively, enhance emotional regulation, and foster resilience.

The structured nature of MiCBT involves four stages: building mindfulness skills, enhancing interoceptive awareness, integrating mindfulness into daily life, and addressing deeper emotional patterns. These stages enable healthcare practitioners to develop a heightened awareness of stress triggers, thereby disrupting habitual responses and promoting adaptive coping strategies.

This workshop aims to discuss the principles inherent to the MiCBT approach, how it can be implemented over a 10-week structured protocol, and includes some hands-on development of some of the specific skills inherent to the program. Join our seminar on Mindfulness-integrated Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in order to gain practical skills, deepen therapeutic insight, and discover the profound impact MiCBT can have on your practice and those you train.
