After training and working in Germany and the United States, I joined the Department of Psychiatry of the Cumming School of Medicine of the University of Calgary in 2007. I currently provide outpatient services through the Early Psychosis Intervention Program at Foothills Medical Centre and Pathways to Housing through the Alex Community Health Centre. I currently serve as Medical Director of the Mental Health Clinical Trials Unit (MHCTU) and CPD-Director for the Department of Psychiatry of the Cumming School of Medicine. On January 1, 2020, I was appointed as Site-chief of the Department of Psychiatry at Foothills Medical Centre. Since January 1, 2022 I have been serving as Associate Dean CME&PD for the Cumming School of Medicine of the University of Calgary. I am a former President of the Alberta Psychiatric Association and a past President of the Board of the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta.
