Dr. Jaylynn Arcand is a Psychiatry Resident at the University of Calgary. Prior to residency she completed a 3y BA in Psychology, a Medical Degree, and a Certificate in Global Health at the University of Saskatchewan. She currently is the PARA representative on the Alberta Medical Associations Indigenous Health Committee. Her current focus is the development of a new podcast series ‘SHRINKingStigma’ focusing on addressing misconceptions in Psychiatry, which is funded through the 2018 AMA/ CMA/ MD Financial/ Joule 'Emerging Leaders in Health Promotion' Grant. She participated in her first year with the Kolabo project this year, and plans to continue pursuing her interest in global mental health and research/ evidence-based innovation for medical education.
